Reports:

ERA: WA7U Fixed 88 due to a tripped circuit breaker.

SAR: KC7EWZ reported that at the SARBOARD meeting the hams were complemented on their work for the summer fair and help during Sar rescues.

W7LR ERA- Harley and Bob are working on repairing the controller for 82. They paid 610.14 for new controller. This will be necessary to get link back up.

AA8Y airport: tower situation-- moved, room at old airport

N7FLT – Announced that a couple of groups were going to work the 10 meter contest. One group at Doug’s and the other at Todd’s place

 

Old Buisiness:

Todd – Christmas party: Dec 9th 6 pm happy hour, 7 pm dinner at Johny Carino’s

There are about 46 people signed up now which is approaching the limits of

space.

Todd –Read a letter from Dave. Basically said that he felt it would be better if someone else did the president’s duties this year


LCD projector – To buy one, rent one, pay for bulb from E-wrangler??

Don moved to buy one for up to 1000. jeff seconded it.

Discussion: passed for up to 1500.

Les – asked about the availability of membership lists. KI7XF will have lists available next meeting.


AA8Y: asked for money to pay for up to 5 yards concrete for tower base at the airport

Discussion pro’s and con’s of a private club buying equipment for public entities.


Les moved to have Joel talk to Kenyon and Concrete Material to see if they would donate concrete for tower. It was asked if the airport, county, hospital would like to chip in on building the infrastructure of the communication site.

 

NEW BUISINESS:

Provide security for a large girl scout campout at about the same time as sweetpea next summer. Possible shifts of two hours.
