Treasurer’s report: $2783.90 in GHRC account including $748.49 profit from hamfest

Insurance bill coming in January

Announcements:

Jack led us in remembering Silent Key Mal Goosey, N7GS

Memories of Mal were shared by those in attendance and 60 seconds of silence was observed in honor of Mal

Mal's services will be Dec. 13 at 11am at the United Methodist Church (Olive and Willson)

Thanks was extended to Jack for keeping club updated throughout Mal’s final weeks.

Jack will send card to Fran on behalf of GHRC

Jack distributed a book inventory – those that ordered books need to pay Jack and there are other books that may be purchased.

Tower at airport is up (Don Godward even saw it up) now for an antenna party

Discussion of Jan. Meeting date

Meeting moved to second Thursday (Jan. 8) because New Year’s Day is the first Thursday in January.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

ERA - no report

Repeaters - all good

VE - test session this Sat. 9am (n7flt, ke7sjz, n7odn, ad7rb for VEs)

SAR - boy scout at Rockhaven rescued

HamFest - early planning good, date discussion move date earlier

Will post on reflector and follow discussion from there (Oct. 3 or Sept. 26) Lindell putting together calendar and needs date by Dec. 10th Tom will start poll on reflector (Sept. 27 is L&C Marathon)

School Club - thanks to those available on radio. Chief Joseph Middle School up and running 3:30 - 4:30 on Mondays

Have permission to put up antenna at CJ. Will be putting it up in the next few weeks.

School club round up in February. 2nd week in Feb. Need help from hams to help kids with roundup.

2nd place last year.

After 1st of Feb. Don will need help, Vivian begins new job then

Election committee report- have people and elections will happen at the end of this meeting

OLD BUSINESS

Christmas Party - January 17, Saturday at Oasis in Manhattan. 5:00 to 7:30pm Need to be out 7:30pm. Need firm number of attending in early January – let Jack know if you are coming and how many you will be bringing.

W7yb - MSU ham club, Jerry (kd7wlx) is investigating

Programs - ARES/RACES will be in January; Jerry is back up tonight but he is at different meeting

Saturday breakfast at JBs every Saturday -  first two weeks okay, no report last two Sats. because Dave was gone.
