Repeaters: KI7XF Making good progress on converting link radios

447.7 has intermittent power low problem.

Pulled and resoldered PA board.  Hopefully problem solved.

ERA: meeting was held and decided to go to 82, airport, Robert Kincaid new director, Dave is co- treasurer. KC7EWZ secretary.  Directors WA7U (Chair) (1yr remaining), KC7EWZ (secretary 2 yrs remaining), KE7CLN (3 YRS). N7FLT is GHRC representative.

Old Business:

            Jeff : Visited with dog owner encouraging attendance.

            Air Show communication: Hams are still planning on helping at the Air Show in July

 

School Club roundup went very well.  Made a record number of contacts (13,8462 points 491 Q’s.)

8 to 9 students worked on the contest.

KE7CAP: What has sign up been for ERA? (20).  Dave encouraged hams to donate to ERA for support of the area repeaters.

NEW Business: 

Randy Pickering:

Bike-a-thon for cancer. 100 mile Livingston – Bozeman pass – Jackson Creek- Battle Ridge – Wilsaw – Livingston - 6 am to noon. 150 riders . July 14, Saturday.  

Foundation Principals: Pickering’s 6 year old son passed away from cancer. Started this rund raiser for families with kids who have cancer.  For support and a fund raiser. This will be the sixth year.  Last year the effort raised $25,000.  Would like to ask hams to help support the route in our typical safety net fashion. 

The club fully endorsed the operation; AA7GK will be the contact in the early going, till fire season picks up.  KC7EWZ offered to provide mapping for the group.  Livingston hams will also help.

 

W7LR: Projector that club owns, should we insure it?  N7FLT moved to cover it with ERA. Passed.

KI7XF: can VE’s use copy machine in the ham room?

Discussed and said use it.  He will buy a new black ink cartrige.

ERA and Repeaters …. Need spare repeaters.  Spare controller: funds need to <100  = 3 functioning radios linking.

Neil has donated 88 replacement:  35-50 per each icom.

MOTION TO DONATE 400 TO ERA TO HELP W/ SPARES.

 

Meeting adjourned 7:38 and went into a presentation by Jason Schrauger. His talk was informative on the new communication systems going around the state and Gallatin County.
