Todd Gahagan WA7U, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

 

Introductions:

 

Secretary’s report (KC7EWZ).  The minutes were approved.

 

Treasures report (KI7XF) $2899.38

 

Call for announcements:  Ray AD7RB is going in for surgery. 

 

Committee reports:

 

ERA: W7LR: W7LR has resigned from the ERA board.  Kathi Gregoire is secretary. Dave Ford is the new treasurer.

Kathi’s report on the ERA meeting which was held this morning (3/4/2010).

The ERA committee (mentioned in previous notes) addressed the following issues:

  • Reformulate the ERA board to be more proactive.

  • Work on being more communicative.

  • Era repeaters- Thanked Harley for all work he has done.

  • There is about $820 in the accounts with about $1500 in outstanding bills.  So all are urged to donate to ERA.

  •   Next meeting of the ERA board is april 1st.  They will meet each month on the 1st Thursday at 6 pm for several more months until they get on top of  the situation.  So far about 20 donations have been made in 2010.  The suggested amount to help with is $30.00.

Repeaters function.  Vivian K7CUB mentioned that the link to the N from 82-88 is inconsistent. 

 

VE: Ray Babcock AD7RB: Ray anticipates a large class in the upcoming session on   3/6/2010 @ 9 am.  The session will be at the SAR building.

 

School Club Roundup: K7CUB. Thanks to all who helped on the school club roundup.

They had good participation by the students. 

 

Club parts: WA7U has crimp connectors.  He also mentioned there were new supplies.  See WA7U for your parts needs.

 

SAR: N7FLT:  There were several missions in which SARHAMs were involved.

  1. A snowmobile rider crashed and spent the night out..

  2.  Twin peaks avalanche. 

  3. More time was spent looking for a missing person on the Missouri.

 

 

Bridger Repeater Net: K7CUB – Meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm.   Another person is needed to fill in the schedule. Please contact K7CUB if you can help. 

 

Old Business - No old business.

 

NEW Business: 

AC7RY:  Requests a list of paid up members. Discussion ensued.  Motion failed to post a list to the W7ED website. 

New motion “Send your email to KI7XF and he will send you a PDF copy of the paid up list.”  This motion passed.

So if you would like a list of paid up members, email Harley.

           

Rob Maher:  He expressed concerns about the tower and HF beam on top of Cobleigh hall.  Several hams from GHRC agreed to meet with Rob and Larry Springer to examine the tower and recommend how to go about maintaining it.

 

Alan Schrum AIR4O: Anyone with ideas for club meeting presentations contact Alan.

 

HAMFEST:  Need to decide by April meeting whether to have it or not.  Discussion was postponed until April.

 

N7ZHN  -Kay Newman: The Bridger Ridge Run 8/14.  Contact Kay for help on this.

 

Lewis and Clark Marathon is June 6.

 

Harley:  Towers maintenance is needed on the courthouse.

 

Tom: GHRC foxhunts.  Encourage people from home to participate by calling in signal reports. The foxes are on 144.28.  Participants can check in on 447.95 minus 100Hz tone.
