Announcements

Larry Springer: Announced that the MSU group had had a delay in launching their satellite but that the launch was scheduled to take off at 0309 hours MST 3/4/2011. Larry will post a note on the W7ED reflector about details of the launch.

Don Wilson: Announced that he would be having by-pass surgery to help improve circulation in his heart.

Old Business:

Ham Fest:

Rich Michau KF7LVE described what he has done so far in developing plans for a ham fest to be held at the fairgrounds. Members of the group asked that comparisons be made with keeping the ham fest at Sacajawea middle school with its lower cost vs. the fairground venue, which would be an expansion of previous ham fests. At the end of much discussion, the club voted to have the ham fest at the fairgrounds with an estimated budget of $1,600.00. It should be noted that the vote was 18 for and 4 against the motion to have the event at the fairgrounds. Rich Michau KF7LVE will be continuing in the leadership of this event. The ham fest will be September 24. Set up and opening hour details will follow in advertisements. Please contact Rich to volunteer for helping with this event.

No other Old Business.

NEW Business:

No New Business

Meeting was adjourned at about 8:30 pm.

Respectfully submitted

KC7EWZ Don Wilson Secretary of Gallatin Ham Radio Club.
