Secretary’s Report: AD7RB moved and N7UNI 2nd and passed with spelling corrections.  N7FLT corrected his bill to $6.00 total.

Announcements:

 

N7ODN – update on N7GS – Slow improvement.

 

N7ODN – Books: pass around a book list of available books.  Contact N7ODN if you want any of them. 

 

Committee Reports:

ERA: W7LR – accepting contributions. 

 

VE:  AD7RB:  There were three who passed on last session.

Dec 6 is the next testing session. 

 

REPEATERS: KI7XF- In reference to the Bridger 146.88 repeater, Harley bolted the antenna to the side instead of top. 

 

SAR: N7FLT – multiple callouts

            There was some discussion of a meeting held with state ARES officials and Local DES and Sheriff’s office.  A detailed discussion of this topic was tabled until a later time.

 

Hamfest:Tom AB5CK –  Had bad weather.  Affected attendance.  The club offered a huge vote of  thanks to Tom for his efforts in coordinating the ham fest.   There were about 84 people that attended.   There was a loss of about 14.00 on book sales. Overall the balance for the ham fest is about positive 500$.  The bill for the rental of SMS is still outstanding.

 

K7CUB: CJMS : Next Tuesday K7CUB will meet with 6th graders.

 

Gallatin RF parts:  WA7U:  $367.57 in the account.  Out of RG213 coax.  Priced and it is 80cents a foot.  We need to order parts but short of cash. 

 

Old Business: 

N7FLT  : An antenna has been ordered for the trailer.

 

Airport Drill:

Jim Godward:  Discussion of how various stations communicated. 

            Jim said there was nothing further on the tower that will go near the old airport terminal.

           

N7ODN:  W7YB status: Jerry – Will continue to keep finger on the pulse of that situation.          

 

Post Christmas party:  all open on 1/17/09 

            After a fair bit of discussion, it was decided to hold the post Christmas party at the Oasis.  It will be held in the primary dining room.  Order off the menu of a selection of about 6 predetermined entrees.  The Party will be allowed to stay for two and a half hours.  There will be more from N7ODN next month.

 

Next month is elections.  After some discussion, it was decided that the current officers be the nominating committee.

           

NEW Business:

 

KD7WLX:  Thanked all of the presenters for the year. 

He will post a list of ideas for programs on the reflector.

 

N7ODN:  Debrief some of the public service events of the past year.

            Fall Festival:  Tom – everything went well.

            Field Day: - N7FLT – wish for more people to operate.  Dale ran secondary station.  Ran one main station.  Potluck went well.

            Blazing Saddles:  N7FLT – Ride along. 

            Cross Country Relay: KD7WLX – Target one day. 

            Bridger Ridge Run:  N7ZHN  - everything went well.

            Lewis and Clark Marathon:  N7ODN  - N7FLT trailer – went well.

            Summer Fair – Hams ran communications and dispatch.  Went well.

           

KC7CAP  - Sat Breakfast:  What is the interest.  Is there an interest in moving the venue to closer to town?    Dave will put out a note on the reflector inviting everyone to a change of venue closer to town.
