Todd Gahagan WA7U, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Introductions:
Secretary’s report (Don Wilson KC7EWZ). The minutes for the September meeting were postponed until next month when people have had a chance to read them.
Treasures report (Harley Leach - KI7XF N7FLT sub) $2368.00
Group reports
Tour de Cure: Jerry – a great event about 20 hams from around the state. The Tour de Cure will be held September 10, 2011.
Belgrade Fall Festival: Norm KD7TQM. There was a good participation by all. We received many positive comments for our help.
Bridger ridge run: Kay Newman: We were very pleased with the ham turnout and had one or two people at each check point.
ERA: Bob Leo: Kathi decided to have next meeting in November.
Bob Leo: With the changes in the countries in the Caribbean there will be new countries for DX
VE exam: Ray Babcock: There will several new hams resulting from the last test. The next ham testing is on December 4, 2010.
School club: K7CUB: Vivian has talked to all 5th and 6th graders and gave a pep talk on joining the club. The meetings will start next Monday. Vivian asked for ham club help in demonstrating ham radio to the students in the club meeting.
88 net: K7CUB: Vivian stated that there are now four people for each week of the month for hosting the 88 net. See Vivian for helping with net control.
Fox hunting: Tom AB5CK: – Tom announced that there was a hunt last Saturday. The hunts are very high quality as the participants are getting very good with their equipment. Tom reminds hams that there are hunts every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. All are welcome.
ARDF: N7ODN Jack reported on the ARDF contest that Harley KI7XF and his wife Karla KC7BLA participated in. This international competition was held in Opatija, Croatia
OLD Business: None
NEW Business: Jerry: Bob had mentioned donation from wind drinkers about $250.00 that went to ERA.
The meeting was adjourned at about 8:00 pm.
