The GHRC September meeting was held in person at the SAR building. GHRC President Norm Reger KD7TQM directed the meeting.

Treasurer’s Report: Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS-Ending Balance $1607.80 after due income and trailer rent. A new account has been opened and QuickBooks will be used

SAR: Matt Hopkins K3HOP-There has been 3 events
ERA: Neil Ramhorst KL7SJZ-$3,713.48. Almost $1,800 came from donations from the estate. Neil has been selling them, there is still more stuff to be sold. Contact Neil if interested
MRLA: Ronnie Woods AI7DK- couldn’t hear very well had to switch back and forth

Due to the Corona Virus and “Shelter in Place” order the December GHRC meeting was held by a directed net on the 88. Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS directed the meeting. Meetings will still be held on the 88 but no official notes will be taken.

Ham test: nothing reported
SAR: Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS: 5 calls in Nov; 2 canceled quickly, there was a training with CAP a few weeks ago

The repeaters in West Yellow, Big Sky, Bridger Ridge and the 747.7 are working well. MRLA link to the south has a linking problem. Quinn Repeater on Bozeman Pass; changing out part and adding to the machine in Gardenier. The repeater north of Belgrade, 44.65, is working fine.
Finacial Report; we’ve received 2 grants that were applied for; $2000 from (?) Site cut $200.00 (to Eaglehead)
88 Net: Wayd Walker WA7YD-getting a fair amount of check ins last week, a lot of new check-ins. Need a net control operator for the 5th (to fill in ) and 4th week in each month…contact Wayd @ 406-539-7721or website for more info
Foxhunt: Harley Leach KI7XF-Had a hunt 2 weeks ago, good turnout, 3 fox holes within walking distance. No plans for another hunt yet
HF: Norm Reger KD7TQM- ft8 been good, lower band has been really good. Worked Russia and Spain and a few others
DMR: Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS everything is up and running as normal. Rich Michau W7AMT-DMR has been pretty active including contacts in Russia
APRS: Treavor Lanes KG7KCV-Repeter at Bridger Ridge seems to have gone deaf
NYAR/Gardiner repeater: Nothing reported

Ham test: Next Session is December 7^th. May possibly be a test session later in December as well

SAR: Curtis DeVault W0GIS; 4 calls outs. A few calls due to spot beacons being accidently activated

88 Net: Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS; three to four check-ins. It is going

Foxhunt: Harley Leach KI7XF; haven’t had any, may try a hunt in the snow

HF: nothing reported

DMR: Rich Michau W7AMT; made a few contacts worldwide, one from Germany.

• Montana APRS Net/Montana Talk Group; is held Saturday at 7. There is usually fifteen to twenty check-ins from all over MT there has even been a few form other states. 3130

APRS: Neil Ramhorst KL7JGS; Mandeville has a new antenna, new ups and new switch. Highflats has been rewired. An IGate might be installed at Horse Butte

NYAR/Gardiner repeater: David Hohmann AG7DF; the dipole was lost (quit working) and has been replaced with a new trim antenna. All is up and running

Old Business:

• Cycle Greater Yellowstone: Jim Halfpenny K9YNP-asking for help for next year’s ride. CGY will take place sometime in August. CGY will be starting in Butte (2020) the schedule is out on the webpage. The ride will take six to eight (longer than usual) days to complete. You can volunteer for as many or as few days as you’d like
• Holiday Dinner: Don Wilson KC7EWZ is checking into Farmhouse Café

• Bruce Walker KE7SJZ has resigned for President. Norm Reger KD7TQM has resigned from Vice President. These spots were not filled at Decembers Meeting. The vice president position may be eliminated and the president position may be filled monthly by members of the GHRC

• Thank you to all office holders new and old! Your volunteer efforts are much appreciated, not only in the GHRC but ERA, MRLA, SAR, Ham test Examiners and more. Thank you to all the “behind the scenes” volunteers. Those volunteers include all who keep our repeaters maintained and working properly. Thank you to all who keep the SAR building clean and stocked and in working order. We have many volunteers that go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone for the gift of time and or financial support! We appreciate everything you do!

• North Yellowstone Amateur Radio Club: David Hohmann AG7DF- First meeting is next week. We will be electing officers, etc.
• Website Updates: David Hohmann AG7DF- Web site pictures need some work. Is anyone willing to volunteer for this? If you could at least take a look at the pictures and tag them. If you have information on a picture like when, where, who and what, please pass the info along to David.
• Winter Field Day: Wayd Walker WA7YD-Location is at the Headwaters State Park Campground. January 26-27. There will be wall tents and the club trailer. BYO-Chili to add to the chili pot on Saturday night.
 Help is needed for set up on Friday night and tear down on Sunday

New Business:
• GHRC Christmas Dinner; Suggestions on where to go
 Senior Center/potluck/catered. Harley Leach KI7XF will check on it
• Ham Fest 2019; there may not be a ham fest next year. There has been no profit gain. For the past few years we have been joining with The Church of Latter Day Saints and the preparedness expo but they may not be continuing with this event next year

• Winter Field Day- Wayd Walker WA7YD: January 27th and 28th. Operating times are from 12pm -12pm at the Headwaters State Park in three Forks at the campground. It is $18 per night to camp. There will be an open radio station. Set up will be Friday night. Remember to bring some chili!
• Election of club officers: It was unanimously voted on keeping club officers the same as 2017

New Business:
• 2018 Dues are coming up in January (information on the bottom of the page)
• It was decided with popular vote that the GHRC members list will be posted on the website. No personal info will be available just names and call signs. The list will be periodically updated.
